Built to replace a demolished low income hotel, Peter Paulson provides 92 single room occupancy (SRO) units. Living entries, clustered around hallway nodes, encourage resident interaction and promote a sense of security. Unique floor plans avoid the ‘shoe box’ effect often found in small SRO units (190 sf). Custom designed furniture constructed by inmates of the Oregon State Penitentiary combine a couch, bed and storage in one piece.
