Client: Central City Concern
Madrona Studios is the renovation of an existing hotel that adds 176 workforce apartments within Portland’s Rose Quarter district. It also provides medical and rehabilitation facilities for a Subacute Medical Detoxification Program directed by a professional staff of Doctors, RNs and counselors.
The operational program includes: waiting and patient assessment areas, nurse’s stations for monitoring and treating patients, medication rooms, acupuncture treatment areas, meeting rooms for group therapy and secure counseling offices. The facility has the capacity to provide services to 28 women and 41 men. A commercial kitchen and dining room accommodates all residents at a single seating while maintaining complete separation of the two groups.
In addition, the project includes exterior renovations, public right-of-way improvements and new landscaping. All fire/life/safety systems were upgraded.
